I've always wanted to make a dress for Abby and now I can cross that off of my list. I used some fabric that I had on hand from a hand quilting class that I took about eight years ago because I figured that my first attempt would be a "practice dress," one that would be too awful for her to actually wear. Although it is a teensy bit big, I think it actually turned out pretty well. I learned a lot from the experience - how to turn straps, how to gather (thank you, Claire) - and wouldn't be surprised if I gave it another try some time soon.
